Planting the Seeds

So school has been out for two weeks.  In that time I visited my son in NC to help him move out of the small apartment (really, that is a generous description - but it was free!) in a fraternity house that he and his wife shared for the past two years and attended a four-day institute on Common Core State Standards (lots of great information, but exhausting).  Now I am home and the relaxation of summer can begin. . . well, maybe just a little school work looking to the future.  My goal for the summer is to begin a blog that I can use to share activities that my kids are doing in the classroom with parents and fellow teachers. So here I am on my first free Saturday of summer planting the seeds of my blog garden.
